A Apple Cider Vinegar Detox will provide you the right way to go about it. A three day detoxing diet is a fantastic way to quickly clean out your system without committing to a long term diet change. Diet plans that go for any longer than a few days are very hard to stick to, but if you know in your mind, that you must only stick to it for three days then amazingly it becomes more of a pleasure than a obligation. Actually the overall plan is enormously simple and very easy to execute. There are several styles of this diet and it’s up to you to choose the one that suits your tastes and way of living. However, you must stick to the exact diet though; otherwise your detoxification process will be spoiled.

Morning 1
This is the day to cleanse the system. Getting rid of all that build up is the toughest part, but you start by drinking water first thing in the morning. After that, water is all you consume besides some fresh Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar Organic Raw (Bragg’s) juice (and ONLY raw, no added sugars!). A healthy morning meals (breakfast) should be a light whole grain cereal and fruit, lunch can be some veggies and fresh fish (grilled) and dinner a similar menu. Salad is allowed as are fruits but the order of the day is vegetables and water – these are fantastic elimination products. You should be exercising on day 1 – a brisk walk for 30 minutes will do the trick.

Morning 2
Today is the day to build upon the detoxification method that is well underway. You don’t want to stop it now, so it is imperative to keep drinking water and lots of it. No coffee or tea are allowed during this entire process, nor is junk food (obvious but should be pointed out!). Did I hear a groan on that last one? Get over it! You want to feel good and look better don’t you?

Morning 2
Breakfast today should consist only of fresh fruit and water with . A green salad is great for lunch and steamed fish and vegetables for dinner. After today you will start feeling amazing and your skin will start to look clearer after just two days on this ultra healthy diet. You’ll also lose the bloated feeling around the stomach.

Morning 3
Water and fruit procedure day three. You may feel very hungry today but that’s OK, your body is finally cleaning out all those toxins. Keep going and get through today without exerting much energy. Vegetables for dinner will ensure your body does not crave food overnight.

Your 3 Day Apple Cider Vinegar Detox diet seems very sparse, but remember it is only for three days and the whole idea is to cleanse your body. By not eating foods which have chemicals or other unnatural substances in them, you’re giving your body a totally natural diet, the way it was intended to be. Now go take a look in the mirror, give yourself a high five, because you’re feeling better and you’re looking hot!

From applecidervinegardetox.com

Great skin healing & tightening mask/regime

So after trying every mask on the market and mashing different pantry items together found on various blogs, here's what worked best for oily skin imho.

Combine the following into a small bowl (keep 2 little containers handy for storage). The more simplified, raw/organic/pure your ingredients are, the better, remember--your skin is the largest organ of the body!

Ingredients:
1 egg free of hormones, etc.
1tblspn honey
1tblspn greek plain yogurt
1tspn baking soda
1tspn ground cinnamon

#Because science! The proteins from the egg and yogurt heal, reduce redness, and moisturize with the honey which also has anti-bacterial properties. The cinnamon is an antibacterial and helps remove dead skin with the baking soda which is gentle and balances the skin's pH level.

Directions: Wash your face completely, removing all makeup/oils, and pat dry. Place about 1/2cup spring or purified water onto a very clean stove pan and put on high heat, reducing to medium-high once it begins to steam. Carefully drape a towel over your head/ears, and place your face about 1foot above the pan, aiming the steam onto your skin for 2minutes. Be extremely careful and ensure there is NO oil on the pan prior to start, you don't want anything mixing with the water and being carried into your pores, nor do you want water/oil to start mixing on high heat as it could easily burn or blind you.

If you'd like to heat the mixture (do so while steaming!) either in a bowl of hot water or sit on a shallow plate in the broiler oven for 1-2min then remove the plate with an oven mitt. The mask mixture is usually just warm, but the plate is much hotter. After stirring to blend all the ingredients once more, sweep the mixture onto problem areas (it's safe on under-eyes, but the baking soda/cinnamon may irritate sensitive areas during rinse). Leave on for at least 20min (or up to 90) then rinse with lukewarm water, splash with cold water afterwards, pat dry, then finish with your usual astringent (to remove any residue) and a light moisturizer. Store the remains in a container in the fridge for up to 6 days!

BAM !
#GlowySkin

Here are some quick Benefits of Lemon Water:

1. Boosts Your Immune System

Lemons are high in vitamin C, which is great for fighting colds. They’re high in potassium, which stimulates brain and nerve function. Potassium also helps control blood pressure.

2. Hydrates Your Lymph System

This cup of goodness helps start the day on a hydrated note, which helps prevent dehydration (obviously) and adrenal fatigue. When your body is dehydrated, or deeply dehydrated (adrenal fatigue) it can’t perform all of it’s proper functions, which leads to toxic buildup, stress, constipation, and the list goes on. Your adrenals happen to be two small glands that sit on top of your kidneys, and along with your thyroid, create energy. They also secrete important hormones, including aldosterone. Aldosterone is a hormone secreted by your adrenals that regulates water levels and the concentration of minerals, like sodium, in your body, helping you stay hydrated. Your adrenals are also responsible for regulating your stress response. So, the bottom line is that you really don’t want to mess with a deep state of dehydration(2)!

3. Enhances Mood

Lemon energizes you and it enhances your mood. The energy a human receives from food comes from the atoms and molecules in your food. A reaction occurs when the positive charged ions from food enter the digestive tract and interact with the negative charged enzymes.

Lemon is one of the few foods that contain more negative charged ions, providing your body with more energy when it enters the digestive tract. The scent of lemon also has mood enhancing and energizing properties. The smell of lemon juice can brighten your mood and help clear your mind. Lemon can also help reduce anxiety and depression.

4. Detoxes your Liver

According to NaturalNews.com, the citric acid in lemons helps maximize enzyme function, which stimulates the liver and aids in detoxification.

5. Aids in Digestion

Not only will this killer combination relive indigestion, it will also help flush you out. It encourages the liver to produce bile which is an acid that required for digestion. Efficient digestion reduces heartburn and constipation.

6. Balances pH

Drink lemon water every day and you’ll reduce your body’s overall acidity. Lemon is one of the most alkaline foods around. Yes, lemon has citric acid but it does not create acidity in the body once metabolized.

7. Helps with weight loss

Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet (see #6) lose weight faster.

8. Acts as a gentle, Natural Diuretic

Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body. Toxins are, therefore, released at a faster rate which helps keep your urinary tract healthy.

9. Clears skin

The vitamin C component helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Lemon water purges toxins from the blood which helps keep skin clear as well. It can actually be applied directly to scars to help reduce their appearance.

10. Freshens breath

Not only this, but it can help relieve tooth pain and gingivitis. The citric acid can erode tooth enamel, so you should monitor this. I admit, I’m slightly worried about it.

Alright I know I said 10 but lemons are so incredible I had to share 2 more reasons to start your day with warm lemon water!

11. Stress Relief

Vitamin C is one of the first things depleted when you subject your mind and body to stress. As mentioned previously, lemons are chock full of vitamin C.

12. Whole Body Health

Lemons and limes are high in potassium. Potassium is an important mineral that works with sodium for smooth electrical transmission in the brain and nervous system. Depression, anxiety, fogginess, and forgetfulness can often be traced to low potassium blood levels. That same nervous system needs potassium to assure steady signals to the heart. So your heart health is improved from the lemon water’s potassium(3).

Note: Don’t use bottled lemon juice as it can contain sulphites which a lot of people are allergic to and well, are just plain unhealthy.

Doing Your Own Headshot Makeup? Things to Avoid

Headshots are Hollywood's business cards, and if you're looking to land a part, your photo better be near perfect. (For the role you're submitting for, at least.) Headshots have transitioned out of their black and white roots, and getting the perfect makeup look for them isn't black and white, either.

MAC Senior Artist Caitlin Callahan breaks down the difference between "natural" and "light" makeup, the mistakes most actors (and even business professionals) make, and what makes your portrait look human — not like a painting. Whether you're trying to make it in Hollywood or just looking to spruce up your online dating profile, these tips will help you look better before you pose in front of the lens.

This isn't a magazine cover.

Caitlin stresses that the photo needs to be an accurate depiction of what you look like. "The mistake I see is that (actors) are too glam or too sexy. They're trying to create looks on their face that change their face, and when they're cast, they look different." That means staying true to yourself: if you have fair skin, don't bronze up; if your hair is curly, don't straighten it.

What about contouring? "When you contour, highlight, shade, and bronze, it's not modern. Intense contouring looks very unnatural. Ease back."

Look effortless, not made up.

"In fashion, natural makeup takes a lot of makeup. (The professionals) know how many products it takes. There is definitely a difference between light and natural makeup." But don't pile on the makeup, either. "If you're blessed with certain things already, don't cover them up! If you have flawless skin, don't wear foundation. It depends on the person."

That means keeping your makeup in natural shades. Don't use burgundies to accentuate green eyes or other similar techniques. Instead, Caitlin suggests using shades like ivories, peaches, browns, apricots, and pinks on the cheeks and eyes, which match everyone's natural undertone. And avoid hard lines, too: no sculpted brows, overly defined lips, or graphic eyeliner. You makeup should have a blurred, soft-focus effect.

Avoid powder at all costs.

Caitlin's clients include Linda Evangelista, Dakota Johnson , and Naomi Watts — she knows what goes into a gorgeous glow. So what's the trick to looking dewy, not oily? "I see that, a lot of the time, young skin is dewy skin. As soon as you start to powder, it looks makeup-y. You want reflectiveness — not in the T-zone. As an artist, we're looking at quadrants (of the face). An interesting photo has texture. Dewiness of the cheek and brow bone and bridge of the nose, a creamy lip; a matte chin, nostrils, and forehead. That looks human. You don't want to look flat and boring."

If you do experience shine, try to avoid powder at all costs, which can look cakey after several applications. Caitlin recommends using a tissue, paper towel, or blotting sheets . And when she does use powder, you know it's going to be MAC. "My favorite touch-up product is Mineralize Foundation ($32). It looks like skin. And Fix+ ($22). It's bouncy and has glycerin in it. I give the powder a spray with it." The spray helps set makeup and keeps your skin looking bright and glowing, not too matte or dry.

Prep your skin a week in advance.

Your face will be the primary focus of your headshots, so it's essential that it looks its best. (It will make you feel your best, too!) "Don't rely on Photoshop," reminds Caitlin. "A week ahead of time, get a facial. Exfoliate the night before, groom a few days before." Give yourself four to five days before your shoot to get your skin prepped, to wax, etc. to avoid any mishaps.

At the end of the day, it's about showing an accurate depiction of who you are. "Whatever these headshots are for, keep it modern," says Caitlin. "Modern is effortless. Sometimes it takes a bit of work, but it's not about the trends in fashion. It's about you. Keep it about you."

Source: Popsugar.com, Author: Kirbie Johnson 11/14/14

10 Secrets to improve your photography skills (from The Huffington Post)

Scott Mowbray Editor, Cooking Light
Posted: 09/26/2013 2:12 pm EDT Updated: 11/26/2013 5:12 am EST (click for original)

I sifted through more than 10,000 pictures by my friend, the photographer George Lange , to make our book The Unforgettable Photograph , a manual for everyday shooters that we intentionally made almost totally non-technical. This is a book of ideas and behavior. My goal was to produce a book that would be as useful for iPhone photographers as it is for people who buy point-and-shoots or expensive DSLRs (George uses all of them).

For years I'd ben alienated by photo advice books: compilations of dry basement-geek obsessions with gear, pixels, lenses and such.

Then I met George. George is the guy you can hand your point-and-shoot camera to and he'll take a better picture than you just took with exactly the same camera 60 seconds ago. A picture of the same person you just shot. Without adjusting anything on the camera. How did he do this?

Partly it's that he's taken a billion pictures since taking up his first camera as a kid in Pittsburgh. But set that aside: The breakthrough for me came when I realized that taking better pictures is not about technique at all, but about imitating the behaviors of George. What does he do to get those better pictures? Turns out there a lot of simple tips that have little to do with cameras or even experience.

These ideas emerged from my observations. Practically the only thing George shoots is people. So these tips are about shooting people: the people you most care about.

1. Get physically close. George almost never uses a zoom lens. He violates personal space with his warmth and enthusiasm. Often, he holds the hand of people he's shooting. This can seem hard at first, but most people like to be photographed if they perceive it as warm, genuine personal attention.

2. Shoot the moment, not the subject. George feels photographers spend too much time composing and arranging shots, not enough feeling what's going on and flowing along with it. Life is a series of moments, not images. He shoots in-between moments as well as moments that, as with this vacation shot from a European bathroom, will be a mystery to anyone who wasn't there.

3. Move around a lot. A big mistake photographers make is to think they have the right shot and then basically take the same picture over and over again, with tiny variations. George is like a sand flee, hopping around, moving high, getting low, going back, returning to front, shooting up, shooting down. For this shot, he walked out of Stumptown coffee to shoot his brother and son within.

4. Get down to the eye level of your subject . If you're shooting babies or toddler or even chickens, get low.
